As the Franchise Association of South Africa (FASA) publishes its 2018 annual Franchise Manual that lists all its members and publishes articles of interest pertaining to franchising, it is working on various initiatives designed to assist newcomers to the sector as well as existing members. Whilst the aim of the association is to embrace every company that franchises, it will never place quantity over quality and if any transgress the industry code set down by FASA, they are asked to either comply with the Code or resign. As a result the members that are accredited by the association are viewed as credible operators and quality companies within the franchise community and are usually also accredited by the major banks and lending institutions.
