GC SOLAR wants to show its commitment to helping underprivileged groups lacking the financial or technical resources to generate solar PV energy and Solar Geyser so that they can transform and use the energy from the sun.

In 2020, GC Solar set to roll out supply chain franchise opportunities in the market, which have exponentially grown over the past two years.
Now we have established several franchises in South Africa. Due to the problematic supply of electricity in South Africa and Africa, we believe more and more franchisees will be onboarded. Our Target will be open up to 100 Franchises in the next few years.
GC Solar is also involved in a joint venture between two renewable energy developers; a global renewable player and a local South African developer. The unique partnership combines GC Solar’s core global strengths in areas such as finance, engineering and procurement with the local knowledge, development skills and relationships of EPC to deliver the highest quality plant to the market and to create sustainable value for South Africa and Africa.
Site Selection
GC Solar will assist with the selection of the site to ensure it is up to standards and meets the requirements of our store network. Based on our current methodology, outlets will be measured in terms of:
- Site selection will be assessed according t the GC Solar site criteria, which will be implemented and actioned as per every individua site.

In 2020, GC Solar renewable Energy Training Academy was established to uplift the quality of solar professionals in South Africa and Southern Africa with officially recognized Photovoltaic associations our courses are accredited and provide skill development and expertise of emerging engineering companies.
This will contribute significantly to developing local talent and addressing the shortage of engineering skills in South Africa. As these companies develop skills, and as the renewable sector expands, the will look to expand their companies and in doing so, will create new jobs in the rapidly expanding renewable energy sector.
