JOB SPECIFICATION
Italtile Commercial is offering a position of National Operations Manager within our dynamic team
The National Operations Manager would be an assistant manager to the Commercial JV Partner.
Requirements:
Below are some of the criteria we would like to look out for in potential recruits:
- Must have experience in Business Acumen (good financial understanding of projects)
- Self-motivating
- Must have a high level of Emotional Intelligence
- Good communication skills (Ability to communicate with high level people in management positions)
- Well organised in daily routines (admin, appointments, follow-ups, etc)
- Good self-management and self-discipline skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Ability to work both individually and in a team environment
- Ability to build and maintain business relationships
- Academic requirement – B-Comm degree or 3-year management diploma [or similar]
- Computer literacy is very important
- Own transport with valid driver’s license
- No candidates under 35-year-old
- 3 to 5 years’ experience in middle management
- Professional presentation skills
The functions of the Commercial National Operations Manager would be the following:
- Human Resources
- Recruitment of sales agents and administrative support personnel. This will include the first interviews with recommendations for 2nd
- Management of induction training of new agents and administrative support personnel.
- Monthly one-on-one interviews with all agents and administrative support personnel.
- Performance appraisals every 3 months with all agents and administrative support personnel.
- Performance management of underperforming agents and/or administrative support personnel.
- Driving of the productivity number to get it to the productivity the KPI.
- Management of annual Team Building exercises.
- Communication and marketing
All communication and marketing to be coordinated with the National Managing marketing manager. This will include:
- Planning of monthly webinars.
- Allocating of leads from monthly webinars
- Managing monthly guerilla marketing pamphlets
- Managing updates on the Commercial part of the website.
- Managing the updating of the Commercial catalogue.
- Managing Commercial Marketing events.
- Managing any other ad hoc marketing actions that may occur from time to time.
- Stock & other administrative matters
3.1 Management and clean up provision stock list.
3.2 Management of stock accountability per agent
3.3 Management of GSNP’s to be in line with KPI
3.4 Management of debtors to be in line with KPI
3.5 Management of Model stock
3.6 Management monthly controllable cost.
3.7 Management of accuracy of monthly income statements.
3.8 Compiling of monthly management reports and quarterly Board reports.
3.9 Compiling of any other ad-hoc management reports that would be required from time to time.
3.10 Management of National key accounts.
3.11 Management of the implementation of new specification program any changes to SAP and/or other ‘’tools’’ that are required to increase productivity as well as to grow sales.
3.12 Updating of Commercial Procedures and Commercial Italtile way as and when required.
3.13 Management of the clean-up and maintenance of the IT shared drive.
3.14 Management of weekly product and other training.
3.15 Management of any specific matters as agreed on the Strategic Planning sessions.
Salary:
Market related plus profit share incentive.
