Roman's Pizza
Roman’s Pizza is one of South Africa’s most loved and successful QSR brands, with more than 260 stores nationwide as well as in Zambia and Botswana. Since our rebrand in 2002, we’ve continued to grow into a trusted household name known for exceptional value, generous portions, and consistent quality.
Our promise is simple: great taste, top quality, and unbeatable prices. With a strong focus on operational excellence and customer satisfaction, Roman’s Pizza continues to expand across Africa, backed by a proven business model shaped by decades of sustainable growth and success.
The Roman’s Pizza story began in 1993, when restaurateur Arthur Nicolakakis acquired a struggling pizza store in Pretoria and transformed the concept with his innovative “2 Pizzas for 1 Low Price” offer, making quality pizza affordable to everyone. The idea flourished, expanding rapidly under the Little Caesar’s name before being rebranded as Roman’s Pizza in 2002.
Today, under the leadership of CEO John Nicolakakis, Roman’s Pizza remains true to its founding vision – delivering exceptional value through innovation, efficiency, and quality. Roman’s Pizza is a true South African success story and a benchmark for franchise excellence.
At Roman’s Pizza, training is at the heart of our success. Our dedicated training department, led by experienced facilitators, equips franchisees and staff with the practical skills and knowledge to operate efficiently and deliver exceptional customer experiences.
Training covers every aspect of the business – from food preparation and customer service to health, safety, and operational standards. Through a blend of hands-on sessions and e-learning certification programs, we ensure continuous development and consistent excellence across all stores.
This commitment to training empowers our people to deliver the fast, friendly service and outstanding product quality that define the Roman’s Pizza brand.
