Pest Control Specialists
Integrated Pest Management for commercial, industrial and domestic environments, including:
- General IPM programs and audits
- Wood-destroying insects: termites, borer beetles
- Health & nuisance pests: cockroaches, ants, rodents, stored-product pests
- Fumigation, including ISPM-15 certification, shipping containers and structures
- Weed control for industrial sites (railway corridors, utilities, yards) and domestic gardens
Cleaning & Hygiene Specialists
End-to-end cleaning and hygiene services, including:
- Hygiene: rental & servicing of washroom equipment, deep cleaning, disinfection

- Carpet & upholstery care, including fabric protection
- Specialised cleaning: kitchen canopy/extractor hoods, solar panel cleaning

The Specialists’ story began in 1978 with a single car, a ladder on the roof, and a promise to show up and do things right. After relocating from “Rhodesia”, Johan du Toit stopped in Pietersburg (now Polokwane) and built a small pest control outfit one job at a time. From those beginnings grew The Specialists Family, a trusted network serving homes and businesses across Southern Africa.
Decades on, the tools are more advanced and the team much larger, but the habit remains the same: arrive, explain, do it safely, and follow up. That’s how a modest start became a market leader and why clients stay with us for the long run.
