FASA Golf Day back after three years…and a huge success!
The annual golf day is a FASA tradition that over the years has brought together rival brands, service providers and suppliers to not only pit their driving and putting skills against each other but also to do some serious networking.
After a break of almost three years due to Covid, the FASA Golf Day resumed thanks to sponsorship from Absa and the many other companies who took up holes and gave prizes. These included ACDC Express, Absa, D’Amico Attorneys, Adams & Adams, Christodoulou & Mavrikis Inc, Defendoor, EBC, Galito’s, InspectaCar, MacRobert Attorneys, Masisizane Fund, OBC Better Butchery, Legends Barbershop, Proudly SA, Sanondaf , Standard Bank and Sorbet.
It was great to see franchisors from diverse sectors enjoying playing golf on a spectacular spring Highveld day, sharing their sector news and doing some important networking with the many service provider members that also attended. A total of eighty four players made up the 21 fourballs.
Leading the players was FASA’s Chairperson Pertunia Sibanyoni, CEO of InspectaCar, an avid golfer, supported on the side-lines by FASA’s CEO Fred Makgato. Thanks to past FASA Chairman Peter Moyanga, a highly successful McDonald’s multi-franchise owner, who arranged for a mobile McCafe to serve coffee and doughnuts before tee-off, the teams played until sunset and then gathered for dinner and prize-giving. Top scoring team prize went to the D’Amico Attorneys team and another twelve four-balls won prizes, as well as individuals winning nearest to the pin and the longest drive.
